The experience
The couture experience includes sketches, the pattern, toiles and the dress being crafted and designed individually to your precise measurements; the end result is an exceptionally beautiful, couture dress which is proportionally balanced and perfected to enhance and frame your figure. From the initial sketches to the final fitting, the process of creating a couture dress is a joyous, collaborative journey.
Over a series of appointments, watch as your dress transforms from the initial sketch into a unique and immaculately fitted dress completely bespoke to you.

The initial consultation
The first appointment is an opportunity to get to know you, to explore your ideas and to hear about all the details you have planned for your day. I will walk you through various silhouettes from our existing collection in the atelier and explore fabrics and embellishments to see what inspires you. It may take a couple of visits to refine your design.
Once the design is finalised I will curate for you a booklet containing all the details of your bridal look, the fabric and embellishment samples along with a bespoke sketch. You will then be invited for a measure appointment.

Toile Fittings
For your initial fittings appointment we create a cotton calico toile from your measurements, which is a mock up of your dress. This is the first stage of your dress and our opportunity to perfect the fit, the proportions and design, all before the silk is cut. During your toile fittings the lines of the dress are defined and drawn on your body to ensure the dress is perfectly proportioned and balanced.
The underlying structure of the dress, your corset, is moulded to your body to define and enhance your silhouette. Fabrics and embellishments are draped over your calico toile to refine the design and help you visualise your finished dress.
Silk Fittings
The special moment where you step into your dress cut in silk for the first time. Your dress will continue to develop through several silk fittings to ensure perfect fit and considered design. Bespoke embroidery and embellishments will be placed and finalised. You will need your shoes for the perfect length, and your finished look will take shape.

The final appointment will be as close to the wedding or event date as possible, to ensure your dress is absolutely perfect.
